There a few artists who are further up Nelly Duff’s street than artist, antiques stylist and all-around eccentric Soozy Lipsey, who’s limited editions have graced our walls to our delight over the last several years. East London’s original urban art gallery, Nelly Duff has been exhibiting the very best of street, tattoo and graphic art from Columbia Road since 2006. The gallery passionately advocates the development of high quality, hand-made editions; encouraging traditional crafts and age-old techniques, and is proud to present Soozy Lipsey’s work as exemplary testimony to these values.
Renegade antique enthusiast and explorer of the unmapped Soozy Lipsey has commandeered Nelly Duff’s back room in the first of Nelly Duff’s 2018 exhibitions. Her intricate subversion of exotic heirlooms and time-worn objets d’art have enchanted a band of devoted followers including London institution Soho House. Prepare yourself to be enchanted by her chromatically chaotic metamorphosis of miscellanea, from botanical drawings to the artist’s own mouth, nothing is safe from Lipsey’s brush.
