THE STORY BEHIND THE ARTWORK

A New Year at Nelly, means new artists.

Introducing London-based, French born photographic artist Aurélie Lagoutte, the newest member to our ever-growing Nelly family.

By using her camera to free the the female body from judgement and guilt, Aurélie subverts the male gaze by celebrating its delicate state in this intimate Cyanotype print edition. The result? A technically accomplished, dreamy discovery of the feminine form that has us completely and utterly in awe.

Releasing Saturday 4th February, 11am BST.

ORIGINS

Aurélie Lagoutte completes each Cyanotype printing process by hand.
Each print is coated in photosensitive solution before it is exposed under a UV light.
Just like magic, the beautiful female nude appears whilst being soaked in a developing solution.
Aurélie tones each Cyanotype with a tea and coffee solution to reach a deeper blue colour, as seen on each print in this edition.

FEATURES

Each print in this edition is is accompanied with a specialist conqueror cream certificate of authenticity, signed, dated, artwork titles and numbering written by hand
The printing and toning process is carefully completed by hand. This means there may be minute differences with each edition.
Signed by the artist in London on the lower right corner of the print.
This print will either be flat-packed in a rigid reinforced envelope or reinforced bespoke parcel tube.
