Living and working in Cornwall, artist John James Midwinter finds joy in the bleak and exposed. Inspired by the rugged coastline that surrounds him, he elevates coastal photography into an immersive and sharper experience. Meditative, subtle and incredibly calming to take in, we are so excited to welcome JJ to the roster at Nelly Duff.

Meet ‘Nowhere 20’, JJ’s debut edition at Nelly Duff and a sleek respite from our usual riot of colour. A soothing seascape that breaks away from traditional beachside photography, this subtly constructed scene is a window into another world that we can’t help but wish we could fall into. Coming in two sizes, (50cm x 50cm and 90cm x 90cm) this edition is sleekly printed with razor sharp flatbed technology finished with screen printed spot varnishes that pick out each wandering boarder from the serene landscape.

Releasing exclusively at Nelly Duff, Saturday 26th February at 11am UK time.

We’re also big fan’s of JJ’s debut photography book, ‘The Waves Between’ published by New Heroes and Pioneers. A beautiful look at the balance of life, nature and surfing, we could browse this lovely hardback book for hours.
