British artist Charming Baker lives and works in London. Having left school at 16 and spent his formative years in various manual jobs, he was accepted onto a course at Central St Martins where he developed his iconic juxtaposition of expressively oil painted figures (human, animal, hybrid..) set against flat graphic motifs. Charming Baker has since exhibited in a string of international sell-out group and solo exhibitions. His fans include fellow artist Damien Hirst, alongside prolific collectors and gallerists such as Frank Cohen, Harry Blain and New York dealer Alberto Mugrabi (owner of the world’s largest Warhol collection).
