nelly duff march news
Happy Spring Duffers!
We hope and trust that the brighter days and birdsong are keeping you well ; )
We have got some pretty special news here at Nelly...
Nelly, her good friend
EINE and a collective of mad artisan printers, are making an attempt to break the screen printing world record.
With six weeks of non stop pulling screens by hand for each and every print, we will be attempting to have the most spot colours ever printed on an editioned artwork.
It is based on the internationally recognised Shutter Font A-Z canvas artwork by the king of fonts; street artist
Ben EINE. Guess how many colours? Come and count how many for yourselves on
Thursday May 7th at a special exhibition to celebrate the attempt.
The print release will be staggered, the first release will be online at
nellyduff.com on
Wednesday April 22nd for all you early birds, with half the edition saved for a special release at the show.
Hot on the heels of this comes The Toasters collaborative exhibition 'Trespassers of the World Unite' on
Thursday May 28th.
The Toasters and 15 of their fellow trespassers, some of Europe's most influential street artists (Mr. Jago, Erosie, and Will Barras to name a few), will come together in East London.
The culmination will be a celebration of the last 10 years on the street for the infamous
Toasters and a nod to those artists who they have respected over the years at the forefront of the Graffiti movement since its explosion in the mid 1980's.
The year's work will be on show for just two weeks at a yet to be disclosed venue, check
the site for more details. Oh my it's going to be good : )
Patrick Thomas' show at the
New York Times, 8th Avenue, opens on
March 19th, so if you're in New York then pop along and tell them you're a friend of Nelly (hopefully they might even let you in).
New work also coming from
Zezao,
Calma and
Angelique.
We look forward to catching up with you soon, send us some luck for our world record attempt....
Love
Nelly x
